Wow! What can I say? It was a super-inspiring five full days of tempo and technique workshops, ensemble and orchestra practice, private lessons and master classes, followed by a final day of  group and solo performances by the students. All of this in a milieu of eager students of varied age and skill level, coached and inspired by the infectious enthusiasm of an astoundingly competent and encouraging faculty, headlined by Daniel Bolshoy.

Outstanding. I could say so much more about how much fun this event was, but I really must go and practice…

Before I attended the Kaslo Guitar Fest, I had convinced myself that I was destined to only perform in my music room. Daniel Bolshoy’s master class gave me the opportunity to perform in a supportive envirionment. The festival has given me a renewed confidence in my ability to achieve higher goals in my classical guitar playing.

The Kaslo Guitar Festival was a success. The information on how to practice and learn properly was invaluable. The instructor skill and patience was really appreciated. The atmosphere was informal, which helped blend the youth and the older players.

I would definitely attend again. It is wonderful to have had the opportunity to participate. My head is full of new information and my fingers want to make wonderul music.

I attended the very first Kaslo Guitar Fest in 2013. I had been reluctant to register because I wanted to enjoy my summer with friends etc…

I loved the experience! It was very stimulating  (I usually don’t like to practice, but there I was practicing between classes!)  There were other youth and we had lots of fun during and outside the classes. It was great and very inspiring to meet Daniel. It was a good experience because everyone involved wanted to learn.

In the end I was very happy to have participated! Thank-you!

It was a great week in a beautiful town, with fantastic, gifted teachers. I particularly enjoyed the diversity of students and the focus on learning.

It was really fun! And really BUSY! There was always something going on — workshops, master classes, private lessons, orchestra rehearsals — there was always something for us to do.

We worked SO hard, and we had a great time!
